Junads

From May until the beginning of September, the Junior Section meets with tee times from 5pm till 6pm on the Gainsborough Course. The idea is for juniors (jun-) to play nine holes of fun/competitive golf with an adult (-ad) or older junior member in attendance with each group. You can be a beginner, without a handicap or a good golfer.

Non members are welcome and can become a Junads member for this period.
Junads membership is £1.50 per session, and entitles you to the 9 Hole competition on the golf course and access to the club house

Each month there is a winners presentation night after Junads, where prizes are awarded for the weekly and monthly competitions. Competitions are in age categories and handicap including  sections for those that have not got an official  handicap.

Group Coaching is regularly provided, free, once a month for one hour at the driving range by one of the Golf Club professionals. [Dress code is relaxed]

2012 Junads starts  - Thursday May 3rd.    Junads Calendar

Cost per person is £1.50, please pay at the proshop -  to sign in and to get a tee time.
Having finished playing your 9 holes you must hand in your card to  a Junior Committee member.
Junads players must not leave the golf course complex without an adult signing to confirm that the junior has been collected.

Guidelines for Junads.
Any junior is eligible to play whether they have a handicap or not and is open to non-members, BUT all must be able to play golf to a standard which will allow play by others to be fun and enjoyable and not a very slow walk around the course. The junior committee/pro shop will make final decisions as to suitability.
All non-members must be accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian). The reason for this is that the parents or helpers can guide the younger golfers around the course, giving advice on course management, rules and etiquette, which will help them develop and understand what is expected of them when playing golf.
All players are expected to return to the clubhouse by 7.30pm.
Parents are welcome to come along and help, even if they are not members they can also play the 9 holes
at a cost of £1.50, but must be accompanied by one or more juniors.
Due to child protection policy
, non members must complete a player detail form [signed by parents].

Non members standards of dress - is relaxed but please remember that you are playing golf. Thank you.
